Day 1 - Buenos Aires

Welcome to Buenos Aires. You are met on arrival and driven to your hotel in a private vehicle with a bilingual guide, with all porterage tips taken care of along the way.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires

Explore the city's grand boulevards, leafy plazas and elegant architecture, echoes of Paris, on a leisurely three hour walking tour. In the evening, enjoy a three course dinner and a VIP tango show at the historic Café de los Angelitos, complete with live quintet and five dance couples, plus private return transfers.

Day 3 - Buenos Aires

Live like a local on this hands on asado experience. Visit the neighbourhood butcher, baker and wine merchant with your host, take a walking tour of trendy Palermo Viejo and its street art, then help prepare a five course feast, from picada and achuras through to the main event: expertly grilled Argentine beef, finished with dessert and a round of mate.

Day 4 - Cafayate

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Salta, then continue overland into wine country. Drive through the dramatic Las Conchas Gorge to Cafayate, visiting the Museum of Vine and Wine and two renowned wineries

Day 5 - Cafayate

A day at leisure to enjoy the resort, the surrounding vineyards and the high altitude scenery of the Calchaqui Valleys at your own pace.

Day 6 - Salta

Drive back through the Calchaqui Valleys to Salta. Later, join a private half day tour taking in the baroque Cathedral, the colonial Cabildo, the MAAM Museum of High Altitude Archaeology, the San Francisco Church and sweeping views from Cerro San Bernardo.

Day 7 - Salinas Grandes Salt Flats

Head into the high Puna plateau via the Quebrada del Toro, following the route of the famous Train to the Clouds. Continue to the dazzling white expanse of the Salinas Grandes Salt Flats, over the mountain pass and down the winding Cuesta de Lipán to the colourful village of Purmamarca, framed by the Hill of Seven Colours

Day 8 - Humahuaca Gorge

Drive the UNESCO listed Humahuaca Gorge, visiting the Pucará fortress reconstruction, the Tropic of Capricorn at Huacalera, the Uquia Church and the historic town of Humahuaca itself, before returning to Salta past the multicoloured Paleta del Pintor rock formations.

Day 9 - Iguazu Falls

Transfer to Salta airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazú, where you are met and transferred to your hotel.
