Starting in Delhi with easy airline access, continue onwards to Agra, home of the iconic Taj Mahal, before venturing to Rajasthan. Spend time marvelling at the India of your imagination, with stunning architecture and beautiful vistas. See the Amer Fort and City Palace in Jaipur. Stop off en route at Pushkar, famed for its camels, before experiencing Jodhpurs blue walls and Mehrangarh Fort. Enjoy some time in rural India on a Leopard Safari in Jawai, before arriving in one of India’s most beautiful cities, Udaipur, renowned for its lakes and palaces. Last stop is Mumbai one of India’s most cosmopolitan cities.

Day 1 - Delhi

A representative will meet you in the arrival area of the airport after you clear all immigration and custom formalities. Depart for your hotel where you will check in for your stay . India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast spiralling skyscrapers the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region’s ancient legacy.

Day 2 - Delhi

After breakfast, proceed for the full day city tour of Old & New Delhi including visit of the 17th century Jama Masjid and enjoy normal rickshaw ride through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk.. Also stop in front of the Mughal Empire’s most opulent fort, the Red Fort for a photo stop. Later Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.  Afternoon proceed to New Delhi where you will be taken for the Drive past of The Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys, the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and a drive along the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings.  Afterwards visit Qutab Minar, the 12th century tower of victory built by a slave king and prototype of all minars (towers) in India. Also visit the 16th century Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal.

Day 3 - Delhi - Agra By Train

This morning, you will be assisted & transferred in your private car to Delhi railway station to board the train to Agra.  On arrival you will be met by a representative outside your train coach who will introduce you to your guide who will take you for the visit of Agra Fort, which was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan, later made valuable additions to it.  After the visit, check-in at the hotel.  Later, enjoy a Visit to Mehtab Bagh for the splendid views of the Taj Mahal in the lap of serene landscaped surroundings. It is a great place to get unique shots of the ever majestic Taj Mahal. In fact this garden itself offers many beautiful photo opportunities. Mehtab Bagh was built as an integral part of the Taj complex as the gardens of the Taj are perfectly aligned with Mehtab Bagh, making it the best place to view the Taj from.

Day 4 - Agra - Jaipur

Early this morning you will be taken to the witness the stunning sunrise at the Taj Mahal (Closed on All Fridays) with your guide. On the inner walls, jewel-like stones create beautiful designs in white marble. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Check out and drive to Jaipur, enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted red sandstone city built by the Great Mughal Emperor, Akbar, as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is just 37kms from Agra.

JAIPUR – the capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, hand-painted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India’s finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Evening at leisure.

Day 5 - Jaipur

Today after an early breakfast visit the hilltop fortress at Amber. A jeep will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls.  En-route to Amber Fort you will stop and see the 'Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal. It is really an elaborate façade, extremely intricate in its pink sandstone carving.  In the afternoon visit the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways.  Afterwards visit Jaipur's Jantar Mantar is the most famous of five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh in India. Jai Singh was a great admirer of progresses and research made in the fields of science and technology, and he was passionate about astronomy  Tour Highlight - In the evening, you will be taken for a Cooking Demonstration followed by meal with the Indian family in their home.

Day 6 - Jaipur - Jodhpur

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur via Pushkar. Enjoy a lunch at Pushkar Palace. The old city of Jodhpur is surrounded by a 10km long wall, which was built about a century after the city was founded. Eight gates lead out from the walled city. It’s one of the more interesting cities in India and those baggy-tight horse riding trousers, jodhpurs, took their name from this locale. The Mehrangarh Fort is sprawled across a 125-meter high hill and is the most impressive and formidable fort in the fort-studded Rajasthan. On the wall adjacent to the Lohapol or “Iron Gate” are 15 handprints, the sati marks of the widows of Maharaja Man Singh who threw themselves upon his funeral pyre in 1843. Inside the fort, which is still run by the Maharaja of Jodhpur, there is a whole series of courtyards and palaces. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 7 - Jodhpur

After breakfast, proceed to visit the Mehrangarh Fort (citadel of the Sun) that evokes the very spirit of the Rathores, the ruling local Rajput clan. Visit its various palaces with their delicate friezes and respective museums, displaying treasures of the royal family. North of Mehrangarh Fort, and connected to it by road, Jaswant Thanda is a pillared marble memorial to the popular ruler Jaswant Singh II (1878-95), who purged Jodhpur of dacoits, initiated irrigation systems and boosted the economy. The cenotaphs of members of the royal family who have died since Jaswant are close by his memorial; those who preceded him are remembered by chhatris at Mandor. This south-facing spot is also the best place from which to photograph the fort, looming above the sheer rocky Mehrangarh plateau. Late afternoon, you will also be visiting the Museum at Umaid Bhawan Palace. Evening is at leisure.

Day 8 - Jodhpur - Jawai

Located between Jodhpur and Udaipur, the rugged terrain of Jawai is an ideal place to break the journey and see an India which is fast disappearing. The area is renowned for exceptional leopard sightings and bird watching. Upon arrival check-in at the camp. (Check-in time at camp is 1400hrs). In the late afternoon enjoy a 4x4 shared jeep safari.

Day 9 - Jawai on Safai

Day 10 - Jawai - Udaipur

This morning is spent at leisure to relax. Later, you will drive to Udaipur enroute visit Ranakpur Temple (with audio guide only). Udaipur is often called the "Venice of the East" and the most romantic city in the state of Rajasthan. Udaipur nestles like a gem in a valley surrounded by green hills, reflected smooth and white in the clear blue waters of Lake Pichola. The city is a kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces and temples. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 11 - Udaipur

Today embark on a full city tour of Udaipur. City Palace: the majestic palace is actually a conglomerate of eleven palaces overlooking the sprawling Lake Pichola. Tour the private collection of precious and rare crystals from the Royal treasure. For more than 100 years the crystals remained underground, and the gallery was not open to public prospect due to its beauty and richness. Jagdish Temple: dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located in the centre of the old city. The temple has a black marble image of Lord which is unusual for the northern part of the country, where statues of Gods are normally in white marble. Sahelion-ki-bari: the spectacular garden displaying the unique lifestyle of the royal ladies who once lived in the Palaces. In the afternoon, shared boat cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola towards Jag Mandir Palace, which covers almost four acres and is noted for its marble pavilion and an imposing dome. Later explore the local market.

Day 12 - Udaipur - Mumbai

Spend the morning at leisure. You will then be transferred to Udaipur airport for a flightto Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, you will be met and transferred to hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 13 - Mumbai

After breakfast, you will be taken for the excursion to the Elephanta Caves (closed on Monday and during the monsoons). Located across the sea from the Gateway of India and accessible by ferry lies an island that has rock-cut cave temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Little is known about their origins but they are thought to have been created between 450 and 750 AD.  In the afternoon proceed for a city tour including visits to Prince of Wales Museum (closed on Monday) and Mani Bhawan (Gandhi’s Bombay home). Drive past the colonial High Court, University and Museum Buildings, the Tower of Silence and visit the beautiful Jain temple.  Evening is at leisure.
