Ottawa, Kingston & Toronto Getaway

Day 1 - UK to Ottawa

Arrive in Ottawa and transfer for your choose hotel, spending the remainder of your day at leisure.  

Day 2 - Explore Ottawa

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Ottawa - Canada’s national capital. You will explore the Parliament Buildings, embassies, universities and museums. You will see the Canadian Mint, the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian Museum of History, the residence of the Prime Minister and the National Arts Centre with the use of the Hop on Hop off Sightseeing Bus. You will drive through scenic gardens and parklands and along the Rideau Canal, one of Ottawa's picturesque waterways. We have also included the Rideau Canal Cruise, The Rideau Canal cruises will take you back to 1812 when the plan for the construction of the canal was introduced! The Rideau Canal is a chain of beautiful lakes, rivers and canals winding 202 km from Kingston, at the head of Lake Ontario, to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. On this cruise discover the wonderful Rideau Canal, from Dow’s lake to the Ottawa River. Be surprised by the richness and historical landmarks that will offer our cruise!

Day 3 - ByWard Market Food tour

Most of today will be at your leisure. However we have included a popular 2.5 hour ByWard Market food and walking tour which starts at 1pm today.

Your tour includes : * A knowledgeable food tour guide * Neighbourhood sites and stories, including: the ByWard Market Pavilion, the George Street Plaza Clock, the Ottawa Letters, the York Street Plaza, the York Street Millennium Fountain, the Clarendon Courtyard, the Totem Pole of Canada, and more! * Food – 3 savoury dishes, 1 refreshment, 2 sweet dishes. Includes a shared BeaverTail(R) * Water at restaurants * Restaurant taxes and gratuities Not included : Tour guide gratuities at your discretion.

**Vegetarian and/or nut-free diets are welcome. Unfortunately, BeaverTails(R) do not offer a gluten-free option, however gluten-free diets can be accommodated at other stops.

Day 4 - Ottawa to Kingston

Today check out of your Ottawa hotel and transfer to the train station for your journey to Kingston. 

Arriving at Kingston transfer to your hotel spending the rest of your day at leisure to explore the city. 

Day 5 - Kingston 1000 Islands Cruise

Board the triple-deck paddle-wheeler the Island Queen and explore the world-famous 1000 Islands region, beginning in Kingston and spanning the St. Lawrence River for miles. This cruise winds its way through the small cottage islands of the Admiralty group featuring Napoleon's Hat, Wanderer's Channel, the Bateau Channel, the opulent Mandalay Mansion and the historic sights of Kingston. This three hour tour is a perfect way to explore the remarkable scenery of the 1000 Islands in style. On board you will enjoy live entertainment, multilingual commentary as well as full service canteen and bar.

Day 6 - Kingston to Toronto

This morning make your way to the train station for your onward journey to Toronto. Upon arrival in Toronto transfer to your hotel spending the remainder of your day at leisure exploring the city.

Day 7 - Explore Toronto

Today we have included the Toronto Hop on Hop off Bus to explore the city at your own pace, which also includes a harbour cruise of Toronto and the Islands. We have also included admission to the iconic CN Tower. 

Day 8 - Niagara Falls

Today you have a full day insightful comprehensive guided tour of Niagara Falls. 

Duration: 10.5 hours

Travel on the air-conditioned motor coach for a breathtaking, full-day tour through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world.

Tour includes: - Free time in Niagara Falls - Lunch overlooking Niagara Falls - Niagara City Cruise or Journey Behind the Falls*

*Niagara City Cruise operates May through October, weather permitting. Journey Behind the Falls will be substituted from October to May.

Note: The itinerary may vary in the winter months depending on opening hours of wineries and attractions, and the lunch will either be buffet style or a plated 3-course menu. Note: Children will be provided with non-alcoholic beverages as a substitute.

Day 9 - Toronto to UK

Make your way to the airport for your onward flight home.
