Day 5 - Cape Town - Cape Winelands
Bid a fond farewell to Cape Town and take the short (around 1hr) drive to the Cape Winelands. After checking into your hotel, spend the rest of the day exploring this picturesque wine region at leisure.

Day 6 - Cape Winelands
A full day to explore the vineyards and food pairings of the Eastern Cape. A popular optional day tour is the Franschhoek Wine Tram, one of the most unique and exciting ways to sip your way through the Cape Winelands. This is a hop-on hop-off tour and showcases beautiful vineyards, mountain scenery and distinguished wine estates.

Day 7 - Cape Winelands - Hermanus
Today head south to the costal town of Hermanus, considered to be one of the worlds best land based destinations for whale watching (June-November). Hermanus is not just about whale watching, this bohemian town has a vibrant ambience and features museums, art galleries, markets and great restaurants.

Day 9 - Hermanus - George
Embark Eastwards with today’s destination being George. The drive can be done in around 4 hours and includes the first section of the Garden Route, starting in Mossel Bay.

Day 11 - George - Plettenberg Bay
Continue along the Garden Route towards Plettenberg Bay. Pass through the quaint town of Knysna, with its large lagoon, perfectly situated for lunch. Tonight’s accommodation is the award wining Tsala Treetops Lodge, set within an ancient indigenous forest.

Day 12 - Tsala Treetops
You may not want to leave your Treetop Suite today, with its private deck and plunge pool extending out into the verdant canopy. However, venturing to the main lodge affords spectacular views from the dining room, glass-fronted lounge or expansive open decks above the forest floor. The main lodge is where guests gather for drinks in the evenings and to enjoy the gourmet fare served up in the glass-walled dining room or on the suspended deck.

Day 14 - Gorah Elephant Camp
A full day at Gorah, including morning and afternoon game drives. This exclusive Relais & Chateaux lodge manages to recapture the romance of authentic safaris from a bygone era. After your morning game drive and breakfast, chech out from Gorah Elephant camp and take the 90 minute drive to Port Elizabeth airport, where this tour concludes, with your flight back to the UK
