Day 1 - Arrive Calgary transfer to Banff

Arrive into Calgary and transfer to your Banff hotel spending the remainder of your day at leisure. 

Day 2 - Discover Banff & its Wildlife with Gondola ride

This morning we have included our best selling Discover Banff and its Wildlife with gondola ride tour. 

Build a connection to our World Heritage Site as you visit Banff's landmarks, learn its history and view wildlife in their natural winter habitat.

The tour will include some of the most scenic and historically significant highlights of Banff such as the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner Lookout, Hoodoos Viewpoint and Lake Minnewanka. Plus, enjoy hot chocolate or fresh water (depending on the time of year) and maple cookies at one of the scenic stops. It's a complete orientation to Banff and a great tour for seeing wildlife in the morning!

Duration 5.5 hours Tour Starts 8.30am  Remainder of your afternoon is at your leisure. Take a stroll down Banff Avenue and soak up the atmosphere and stunning scenery.

Day 3 - Explore Banff

Another full day to explore Banff. Speak to our Canada Experts if you wish to include one of our Banff Experiences. 

Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer - Banff to Kamloops

This morning you'll transfer to Banff rail station (included). Today marks the start of your journey to Vancouver aboard Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf, heading for an overnight stay in Kamloops. Departing Banff, you'll pass Lake Louise, one of Canada's best known sights. Walk to the lakeshore, take in the turquoise water and see what drew early mountaineers here. The route follows the Coquihalla Highway, winding through the Cascade Mountains before reaching Kamloops, where you'll have time to explore the compact downtown and choose your dinner (not included) from the nearby restaurants.

Day 5 - Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops to Vancouver

Board the Rocky Mountaineer early this morning for your second day in SilverLeaf. Today's route brings a dramatic change in scenery as you pass through Canadian desert, sub-alpine terrain and lush coastal forest before arriving in downtown Vancouver. Following the Coquihalla Highway, you'll reach the town of Hope, setting of the film First Blood, for a short rest stop. From there, the train enters Fraser River Canyon, tracing the river through to the Coastal Mountains and the lush Fraser Delta region, arriving finally in Vancouver.

Day 6 - Explore Vancouver

Explore Vancouver's highlights, we have included the Hop on Hop off Bus to help you explore.

Climb aboard an open-top double-decker bus for panoramic views of downtown and its natural surroundings. Day 7 - Vancouver
