I’ve been working in travel for over 25 years now and been fortunate enough to travel extensively both with work and for pleasure (sometimes even combining the two)!
My love affair with travel started back in 1990 with a months interrailing, which took me all around Europe, my next big trip was 1994, when I took a year out and backpacked around the world, visiting Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, New Zealand, Fiji & the USA.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit Asia on a number of occasions, with Malaysia and Vietnam being two of my favourite countries, great food, beaches and culture. City stopovers in Hong Kong and Singapore have also been memorable. For an assault on all senses, India is amazing. The Taj Mahal at sunrise is as good as everyone says it is and Mumbai is one of my favourite cities in the world.
Australia always offers something new, its so vast, with the dusty outback perfectly complimenting its buzzing cities. In the USA I’m equally torn between the national parks and the cities, although one of the best nights out has to be Memphis, booze, blues and Elvis, what’s not too like?
South Africa is a truly amazing destination and a Safari should be on every travellers bucket list.
