Day 1 - Los Angeles

Los Angeles – arrive in Los Angeles, collect your chosen vehicle and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 - Los Angeles

A full day to explore this exciting city, perhaps head to Sant Monica with its iconic pier and marks the official start or end of Route 66.

Day 3 - Los Angeles

Perhaps visit a theme park or take a tour of Hollywood and Beverley Hills, the choices in L.A. abound.

Day 4 - Palm Springs

Venture West to palm Springs, once a trendy escape for the stars of Hollywood, this town is re-inventing itself with an understated cool vibe, hosting events such as Coachella and the Palm Springs Film Festival.

Day 5 - Palm Springs

Enjoy a day at leisure in Palm Springs, visit one of the many art galleries, go shopping in the Uptown Design District or relax with an al fresco lunch.

Day 6 - Kingman

Stopover in Kingman Arizona, an historic town on Route 66.

Day 7 - Williams

Drive one of the still remaining and endearing sections of Route 66 today, stop off in Peach Springs, which was the inspiration for Radiator Springs in the Pixar movie “Cars”. We would also suggest a lunch stop in Seligman, a classic Route 66 town

Day 8 - Williams & The Grand Canyon

Today visit the Grand Canyon, you can either drive, or for a touch of Americana, we would suggest taking the Grand Canyon Railway, complete with cowboys and train robbers…! In the evening enjoy more than six blocks of historic buildings, shops and restaurants, many featuring Route 66 memorabilia.

Day 9 - Holbrook

Continue Westward, via the old Route 66 towns of Flagstaff to Holbrook, spend a night in a Route 66 iconic landmark, the Wigwam Motel

Day 10 - Santa Fe

Onwards through the Petrified Forest and the town of Gallup. Cross the Rio Grande and traverse the open country, via Albuquerque to Santa Fe, one of the US’s oldest and prettiest cities.

Day 11 - Santa Fe

Take a day to enjoy the delights of Santa Fe, known for its Pueblo-style architecture, creative arts and wonderful cuisine.

Day 12 - Chicago

Take the short drive to Albuquerque, return your hire car at the airport and take the domestic flight to Chicago at the Eastern edge of Route 66.

Day 13 - Chicago

A full day of exploration awaits, the dramatic skyline of the city perched on the shores of Lake Michigan make the perfect holiday photo. The city is bursting with history, great museums, world class shopping, fantastic restaurants and a vibrant live music scene.

Day 14 - Chicago

Spend your last full day at leisure getting to know Chicago at your own pace.
