Day 4 - Jasper
Today you travel to Jasper on a spectacular Scenic Transfer.
Departing Banff this morning, you’ll journey through the very heart of the Canadian Rockies along the world-famous Icefields Parkway, one of the most breathtaking drives in the world. Along the way, rushing waterfalls, crystal-clear rivers, emerald lakes, alpine meadows and snow-capped peaks create an ever-changing panorama of mountain wilderness. You’ll spend the day immersed in the grandeur of Banff and Jasper National Parks, with scenic stops at Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake and the Weeping Wall before reaching the impressive Athabasca Glacier and Columbia Icefield. Here, there’s time to visit the chalet and enjoy the included Ice Explorer ride onto the glacier and the thrilling Glacier Skywalk.
From the Columbia Icefield, the parkway descends past Tangle Ridge, following the Athabasca River as it winds north towards Jasper. A final stop is made at the powerful Athabasca Falls, where glacial waters surge dramatically through a narrow canyon, before your memorable day concludes in the charming mountain town of Jasper.

Enjoy a memorable introduction to Jasper and it’s surroundings, todays tour begins with a short tour of the town before crossing the Athabasca River and travelling through spectacular scenery to Maligne Lake. En route, you’ll pause at the fascinating Medicine Lake, one of Jasper’s natural wonders where you’ll learn about the area’s unique karst topography and the mystery behind the lake’s annual “disappearance”.
Continuing through the stunning Maligne Valley, you’ll arrive at the jewel of the region, breathtaking Maligne Lake. Here, relax on a scenic cruise across its crystal-clear waters to the iconic Spirit Island, one of the most photographed spots in the Canadian Rockies.

Day 6 - Rocky Mountaineer Goldleaf
Board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer and travel from Jasper in the heart of the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, gateway to British Columbia’s interior. As the train winds west and south, take in ever-changing views of the Continental Divide and the striking river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Highlights today include awe-inspiring Mount Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres, the cascading Pyramid Falls, the ascent over Yellowhead Pass, and the scenic run alongside the North Thompson River en route to Kamloops. Day 7 - Rocky Mountainner Goldleaf
Your rail journey continues west towards the Pacific coast and the vibrant city of Vancouver. Today’s scenery contrasts dramatically, shifting from the arid landscapes of the interior to deep river canyons, dense forests and the Coast and Cascade Mountains, before reaching the fertile Fraser Valley. Look out for the impressive rock sheds and steep canyon walls along the Thompson River, as well as the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. On arrival in Vancouver this evening, you will be transferred to your hotel. Breakfast and lunch included.
