Experience the beauty of Canada in the winter. Start your adventure in Vancouver with a 3-night stay that includes a city tour and admission to the Lookout and Capilano Suspension Bridge. Travel back in time to the days of classic rail travel aboard VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ in a private cabin. This journey will take you to the majestic snow capped Rockies for stays in Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff. We have filled your adventure with plenty of fun winter activities including an evening sleigh ride at iconic Lake Louise.  Make this epic experience even richer with by extending your time in the Rockies or even add on a trip to Whistler to try your hand at skiing or snowboarding.

Day 1 - Fly UK to Vancouver

Day 2 - Sightseeing Vancouver

We have included the 7 hour Vancouver City Tour for you today, this starts at 10am.  

Explore both downtown Vancouver and its neighbouring North Shore all in one day. This tour features all the most popular city sites including the Vancouver Lookout, Stanley Park and Granville Island*, combines with a visit to the North Shore to explore Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, and the Capilano Salmon Hatchery.

This tour is conducted on a comfortable mini-coach seating up to 30 passengers and offering exceptional visibility. Coaches are detailed after every tour and are outfitted with heating & air-conditioning for your comfort. Live tour commentary is conducted in English.

Suggested Clothing: Comfortable clothing for the day including a warm shirt or outer layer. Walking shoes recommended.

Drop offs are available at Vancouver and Richmond hotels, YVR airport, or the VIA Rail station.

Day 4 - Vancouver to Jasper (VIA Rail)

This afternoon, check in at Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the famous train journey to the majestic Canadian Rockies. Travel back in time to the days of classic rail travel. The original stainless steel ‘streamliner’ railcars (made famous by the ‘Canadian’ in the 1950s) are totally refurbished with air conditioning, a café car, lounge car, and access for all on board to the dome car.

Day 5 - Arrive Jasper

Rise to the snowy peaks of the Canadian Rockies today as you arrive in Jasper and make your way to your choosen hotel. The day is free to explore this unique alpine community.

Day 6 - Jasper Excursion

Today you can personalize your day by choosing one of these excursions :

Option 1. Maligne Canyon Ice Walk Experience the wonders of Maligne Canyon from the ground up! The canyon has withstood 10,000 years of erosion and has created a 50 metre gorge.

Option 2. Discover Jasper & its Wildlife Tour Travel through the Athabasca Valley to some of the park’s most beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountain scenery to seek out all the park’s most iconic creatures.

Option 3. Upgrade Option: Dog Sledding Tour Travel by dog sled along 22 km (13 mi) of pristine winter scenery in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy lunch cooked over an open campfire, hot apple cider, and homemade treats.

Day 7 - Jasper to Lake Louise (Evening Sleigh Ride)

Travel southward along the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise. This spectacular drive through glacier country features massive snow covered mountains, frozen waterfalls and broad-reaching valleys. Included this evening is a wonderful 40 minute sleigh ride that takes place beside the lake.

Day 10 - Banff to Calgary

This morning is free to explore Banff, before your scheduled coach to Calgary departs midday. Following the Trans Canada Highway, depart the Rocky Mountains to the Great Central Plains that roll to the east for 2000 kilometres and extend as far south as Mexico. This is ‘cattle ranching country’ and the breadbasket of Canada.
