Holiday Overview

A Fantasic Churchill Polar Bear Tour.

 

Churchill is a small, northern community with a lot of character. You won’t find one of the big-chain hotels here that you might find in a larger centre. You will, however, find warm, down-home hospitality and clean, comfortable hotels with all the amenities. Staying in town will allow you to walk to and from the different venues, spend some time on your own, and perhaps meet some of the locals. The Enthusiast Program is designed for those who wish to visit Churchill to not only see the magnificent Lord of the Arctic, Manitoba’s polar bears, but also to experience the history and culture of the region. Led by very knowledgeable guides, Enthusiast program itineraries include activities other than bear watching, such as a town and area tour, entrance to the Eskimo Museum and Parks Canada facility and a private cultural presentation. Dog sledding is included.

Day 1 - Arrive Winnipeg

Overnight in Winnipeg airport hotel

Day 2 - Fly Winnipeg to Churchill

Early morning flight from Winnipeg to Churchill. From the airport, depart for town and area tour and visit to the Eskimo Museum. Evening cultural presentation by a local photographer. Overnight Churchill hotel.

Day 3 - Tundra Buggy

Day spent in a Tundra Buggy® with knowledgeable guide, viewing polar bears and other subarctic wildlife. Overnight Churchill hotel.

Day 4 - Dog Sledding & Park Canada

Morning dog sledding and afternoon visit to Parks Canada Interpretive Center. Overnight Churchill hotel.

Day 5 - Full day in Tundra Buggy

Another full day Tundra Buggy Adventure searching for arctic fox, ptarmigans, polar bears and other wildlife. Evening return flight back to Winnipeg. Overnight Winnipeg airport
