Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat is situated on 75 hectares of tropical rainforest just ten minutes from Lake Eacham bordering the World Heritage Wooroonooran National Park. The retreat  features large luxury baths, cosy fireplaces and balconies with mountain and rainforest views.

Explore pristine rainforest streams and kilometres of walking tracks. There is abundant wildlife with over 160 species recorded.  This cool tropical mountain retreat offers peace and relaxation. The accommodation is ideal for the romantic hideaway or the family holiday with friendly and helpful staff .

Our accommodation ranges from from studio treehouses for couples; 2 bedroom treehouses & villa-treehouses cater for up to 4 to 6 guests; and a 3 bedroom villa-treehouse for up to 6 guests. 
ALL ACCOMMODATION features:
• Private balcony with World Heritage mountain or rainforest views
• Self-contained fully equipped kitchen

• Spacious 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms all on one level
• Main bedroom opens onto private spacious balcony
• The 3 bedroom villa has an outdoor bath

• Private carpark;

Complimentary Rose Gums Breakfast Hamper - 2 people

For the first morning includes bacon (2 rashers), eggs (4), bread (4 slices), butter (4 pats), jams (2 sachets), honey (2 sachets), vegemite (2 sachets), local yoghurt (1), cereal (2), muesli (2), milk (500ml), sachets of coffee, tea & sugar, ground coffee for plunger, tim tams (2). Further hampers or individual items may be purchased at reception.

Full kitchen facilities in all Rose Gums accommodation

4 pot gas cooktop, convection microwave oven (will cook a small roast), medium size fridge, all crockery, cutlery, pots & pans, and condiments (salt/pepper/oil). So if you wish to prepare your own meals, shop before you arrive so that you can enjoy relaxing in the rainforest. Malanda (15 minutes drive) and Yungaburra (20 minutes drive) both have good supermarkets. Alcohol can be purchased at bottle shops in both townships.

BBQ's

Relax outside your treehouse enjoying your very own private BBQ. Don't forget to pick up your BBQ items on the way, either from Yungaburra, Malanda or Atherton.
 

Evening Meals

Enjoy a delicious chef-prepared meal in the privacy of your own treehouse at a time convenient to you. Meals will be in your refrigerator ready to heat before you check-in. Choose from the menu attached and pre-order a minimum 24 hours in advance.
