Montezuma is a laid back, bohemian beach town at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. nYa sits right in the middle of it, with the Pacific a short stroll away and thick jungle rising behind the rooftops. Mornings start with birdsong and the odd howl from the trees. Rooms open onto balconies or traditional Nicoya style terraces overlooking the tropical gardens, and some have floor to ceiling windows. There are rooms to suit everyone, from king and queen doubles to twin rooms for friends and family rooms with bunk beds for children, plus an accessible room on the ground floor.

Hotel Playa Espadilla

Set among the rainforest on a quiet road in Manuel Antonio, Hotel Playa Espadilla is a family owned hotel that has welcomed guests for more than 25 years. It's barely a minute's walk to the sand at Playa Espadilla, and the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park is only 200 metres away, so you can be on the trails early before the day warms up. The hotel is split between two parts, the main hotel and Espadilla Gardens. There's a range of rooms, from doubles and family rooms to deluxe junior suites with spa baths.
