Yarmouth Experiences

Comfortable places to stay, exciting things to see and do, delicious places to dine, and shopping opportunities from playful to practical. Yarmouth has it all!

Below is a small selection of the tours we can organise for you when you have booked your USA holiday with us and are visiting Yarmouth.

Join us for a leisurely paddle through Parker's River in Yarmouth. This river has an easy tidal flow and drains south into the Nantucket Sound. Here we can experience Cape Cod living while kayaking through the lushous marsh where many shorebirds and osprey gather.

As we paddle down the river, we can get up close and personal with our resident osprey, or “sea hawk”, who make their home here from April through September. As we continue down the river we will be able to make a stop at Seagull Beach and explore on land before making our way back.

This tour caters to all kayakers and especially great for a family adventure that allows everyone to get outside, be on the water, and experience the wonderful nature of the area.

Great Marsh Kayak Tours highlights

  • Kayak experience for all ages and abilities
  • Sightings of local wildlife
  • Stop at Seagull beach

The Whydah Pirate Museum in West Yarmouth officially opened its doors to the public in June of 2016. The museum is home to thousands of items from the Whydah and houses the largest collection of pirate artifacts recovered from a single shipwreck anywhere in the world.

The museum contains multiple exhibit wings, the bell theater room, a walk-through partial replica of the Whydah Gally, a gift shop and bookstore, and the SeaLab and Learning Center—the museum’s onsite conservation laboratory. The museum is a state-of-the-art facility with LED theater lighting, flatscreen displays, and surround sound speakers.

As artifacts and treasure are continuously excavated, new exhibits are added to the Whydah Pirate Museum every year. The West Yarmouth museum is still new with additional museum wings and an outdoor area planned for future development.

Whydah Pirate Museum highlights

  • Bell theatre room

Seagull Beach is a hub of activity during the summer when people gather on its wide shore to enjoy a beautiful day on the water. This West Yarmouth beach has a great selection of activities. Bring your binoculars for birdwatching, try skimming across the water’s surface on a kiteboard or enjoy more traditional beach pursuits of swimming and sunbathing.

Get here early to stake out a good spot on the beach. It can get busy during the summer months. Expect to see lots of young people enjoying themselves here, especially teenagers and college students out of school for the summer.

Bring along a book to read, comb the sands for pretty shells or just gaze out across Nantucket Sound and admire the brilliant blue waves in front of you. The waters are not as choppy as elsewhere on Cape Cod, making it good for both swimming and windsurfing. Kiteboarders are also drawn to the beach to practice.

Walk the length of the beach to try to spot birds. While the ubiquitous gulls will likely be present, other species can be spotted here too. The area is a home to the piping plover, a rare bird with gray, white and black coloring. These relatively small birds are usually found in sandy pieces of land like this beach.

If you’re looking for a completely unique experience for your family, the Cape Cod Inflatable Park is the answer.

Never before have you seen this many inflatables in one place. And we’re not talking your backyard bounce house here, our inflatables are bigger and better than anything you can imagine. From age-appropriate toddler slides that wow, to obstacle courses that rival your favorite television game show, visitors who explore our park will play hard and experience fun in a whole new way.

With a large enclosed space like ours and tons of staff to monitor our guests, parents can feel confident letting their children run free and just, well, be a kid! But don’t let your age hold you back, some of the most fun we see here at the park is by adults who let loose and give themselves permission to enjoy the carefree, wholesome fun (and zany challenges) on offer here at Cape Cod Inflatable Park. There’s simply no other place in the world quite like The Cape Cod Inflatable Park.

A world-class, inclusive space that cultivates curiosity, creativity, and cultural exploration through exhibition, arts education and life-long learning, and music and events. The mission of the Centre is to serve the entire Cape community and visitors to the area by offering instruction, entertainment, and exhibition in the visual, literary, and performing arts.
