Westbound – Banff | Kamloops | Jasper
Eastbound – Jasper | Kamloops | Banff
Passage to the Peaks is a brand-new and exclusive route, available for a limited time during June and July 2026. Connecting the iconic mountain towns of Banff and Jasper with an overnight stay in Kamloops, this two-day rail journey is the only Rocky Mountaineer train journey that travels entirely within the Rockies, never venturing to Vancouver or the Pacific Coast. Highlights along the way include Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, Yellowhead Pass,
and the famous Spiral Tunnels, all enjoyed from the comfort of signature glass-domed coaches as glacial lakes, towering mountain passes, and dense evergreen forests roll past.
DAY 1 – Banff to Kamloops
Departing early in the morning, begin your Passage to the Peaks journey onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain resort town of Banff, heading west towards Kamloops in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. Today's highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. You will arrive in Kamloops in the evening. Overnight in Kamloops.
DAY 2 – Kamloops to Jasper
