KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (commonly known as KLM) is the national airline of the Netherlands. They run a full-service operation and are certified as a 4-star airline.
We have put together a helpful guide of important information you may need before you fly.
You can check in through the KLM check-in portal. To access your flight, you will require your KLM Booking Reference, found on your My Canada Trips documentation as well as your Flight Number and Surname. You can also check in via your KLM account.
For international travel, you require a government-issued Passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date you return to the United Kingdom. Please see our helpful ‘Passports, Visas & FCO advice’ section if you are unsure of your requirements.
Advanced Passenger Information (APIS) can be collected at Check-In at the airport. In addition, we thoroughly recommend completing this information in advance online through KLM’s My Trip portal.
Seat Selection at Charge: It is now the industry standard for seat selection to be at a cost and can only be booked directly through the airline, seat costs are per person per flight. Seat selection can only be completed once your flights have been ticketed, this typically happens automatically roughly 4 weeks prior to travel. However, if purchasing a seat is very important to you please touch base with your consultant directly any time after your final payment has been made and they can request early ticketing on your behalf, this will allow you seat selection access within 24 hours via KLM’s My Trip portal.
Please refer directly to the KLM Ticket options for a comprehensive and up-to-date overview of Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class cabins.
Please refer directly to the KLM Luggage pages for the ‘Carry On’ and ‘Checked Luggage’ requirements.
For luggage inclusions please refer to your booking agent to confirm your checked baggage inclusions.
For long-haul flights you will enjoy a starter, main and dessert as well as beverage service including hot, cold, and alcoholic drinks, following this you will receive in-flight snacks and a second meal.
Inflight entertainment on your seatback screen features a selection of the latest movies and tv shows as well as a selection of the classics is available onboard.
If your flight requires you to transfer through Amsterdam Schipol Airport you may have a few questions about what to expect during this time. Please see Schipol’s helpful guide on what to expect at the airport:
