The Serengeti

At just under 15,00 sq km (to give some context that is around the size of Northern Ireland), the Serengeti offers wildlife viewing on an epic scale. It’s renowned for its feline inhabitants, including lions, leopards and cheetahs. It shares the mighty migration of wildebeest and zebra with the neighbouring Masai Mara in Kenya and is an incredible birding destination, with over 500 species in residence.

Mt Kilimanjaro

Africa’s highest peak, at 5896m dominates the skyline of the region. Often snow-capped Kilimanjaro is also one of the world’s highest volcanoes and is the world’s largest free standing mountains, rising from the African plain. It is often said that the approach to Kilimanjaro affords one of great experiences of African travel.

Zanzibar Island

The spice island of Zanzibar has a rich cultural significance in the region and it’s capital Stone Town has been a melting pot of influences and cultures, from Africa, Arabia, India and Europe. A jewel in the ocean, Zanzibar offers pristine beaches and inviting waters.
