Day 10 - Tongaririo National Park

Tongaririo National Park is an 80,000 acre national park situated on top of three volcanos, providing a spectacular showcase of volcanic wonders. With emerald lakes, old lava flows, steaming craters there is a wide diverse landscape to explore.

Day 11 - Tongaririo National Park to Napier (193km/ 120 miles)

Today's drive takes you along to the east coast of the North Island to Napier.

A free day to explore Napier. Ask your Stewart Travel specialists if you wish to add on an excursion.

Day 13 - Napier to Taupo (142km/90 miles)

After checking out of your Napier hotel, continue your road trip to the town of Taupo situated beside Lake Taupo. Spending the rest of the day at lesuire. Lake Taupo is a beautiful crystal green lake; the full lake is the size of Singapore. It was created two thousand years ago from a volcanic eruption. There is wide variety of activities to enjoy including water-skiing, kayaking, and sailing. A highlight of Taupo is the magnificent Huka Falls where more than 220,000 tons of water fall over the cliffs.

Day 14 - Taupo to Rotorua (80km/50 miles)

Spend some time exploring more of Taupo before making the short journey to Rotorua spending the rest of your day at lesuire.

A full day to explore Rotoura! Rotorua is home to bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers, natural hot springs and a showcase of traditional Maori culture. Speak to your Stewart Travel if you wish to add one of our Rotoura experiences.
