Holiday Overview
Take a short flight to Atlantic Canada for a stunning 6 night stay in Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia - famous for its Martime history and home to the second largest natural harbour in the world. Halifax is also home to one of the world's largest boardwalks along the waterfront, take a scenic stroll or bicycle ride here and stop off at one of the many restaurants or cafes to recharge your batteries.
Halifax is also a great base to explore nearby Peggys Cove, Mahone Bay, UNESCO World Heritage Site Lunenburg and the nearby vineryards in Annapolis Royal. You can either explore these areas by adding on an organised tour or hire car, the roads are very easy to drive on in Nova Scotia. Halifax itself is home to the popular Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Citadel Hill - step back in time with the 78th Highlanders and the 3rd Brigade Royal Artillery to learn what it was like for the soldiers and their families to live and work in this historic fort.
This city, which has a small town, relaxed feel to it, has more pubs and clubs per capita than almost any city in Canada. Alexander Keith's original 1820s brewery continues to host visitors looking for tours/stories, food and, of course, a good ale!
