Day 1 - Arrive New York City

Arrive in New York City making your way to your chosen hotel spending the remainder of your day at leisure. The quickest way from both airports is by train into Manhattan and costs approximately $16 per person.

Day 2 - Explore New York City

Spend the day immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of New York City. Your itinerary includes admission to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck, offering spectacular panoramic views of Manhattan, with clear views of iconic landmarks including the Empire State Building and Central Park.

New York City brims with famous attractions just waiting for you to explore. Must-see highlights include the majestic Statue of Liberty, the historic Brooklyn Bridge, the lush greenery of Central Park, the electrifying lights of Times Square, the charming streets of Little Italy, and the poignant reflections at the 9/11 Memorial. Day 4 - New York City to Syracuse

Set out on a picturesque self-drive adventure from the vibrant streets of New York City to the historic charm of Syracuse. As skyscrapers give way to rolling countryside, this route invites you to experience the contrasting beauty and heritage of New York State.

Begin by navigating out of the bustling metropolis, taking in views of iconic city landmarks before heading north into the serene landscapes of the Hudson Valley and Catskill region. Along the way, consider stopping at quaint towns like Beacon or Woodstock, each offering artisan boutiques, galleries, and charming eateries perfect for a leisurely break.

Continuing your drive, you'll enter the stunning Finger Lakes region, renowned for scenic lakes, award-winning wineries, and spectacular natural beauty. Syracuse is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region and is the perfect base for exploring this stunning region. 

Upon arrival in Syracuse, checking into your hotel spending the remainder of your day at leisure. 

Day 5 - Syracuse

Syracuse is a vibrant and diverse city, brimming with opportunities to delve into both history and natural beauty. Start your exploration at Clinton Square, where you can discover the story of William "Jerry" Henry at the poignant Jerry Rescue Monument, or uncover fascinating insights about the Erie Canal’s legacy at the Erie Canal Museum.

Just a short drive away is the charming town of Skaneateles, often described as the Crown Jewel of the Finger Lakes Region. Here, you can savor exceptional local wines at Anyela’s Vineyard or unwind on a tranquil boat tour across the pristine waters of Skaneateles Lake.

Day 6 - Syracuse to Rochester

Your drive today continues to Rochester. Leaving Syracuse, venture westward through picturesque countryside, catching glimpses of peaceful farmlands, charming villages, and the iconic Erie Canal. Your route offers an inviting detour southward to explore  the spectacular Watkins Glen State Park, famed for its breathtaking gorge trail featuring cascading waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and serene woodland paths truly a highlight for nature enthusiasts.

Continuing along the shores of the beautiful Finger Lakes, enjoy delightful stops at local wineries, breweries, and cosy lakeside cafés, all featuring the region’s celebrated artisanal products.

As your drive approaches Rochester, the rural vistas transition into an inviting urban landscape. Known affectionately as the “Flower City,” Rochester awaits with vibrant neighborhoods, lush parks, and engaging cultural experiences. 

Day 7 - Explore Rochester

Spend your day discovering the vibrant city of Rochester, beginning with a visit to the renowned George Eastman Museum, where you'll uncover the fascinating life of George Eastman and the story behind Kodak.

Continue your exploration at The Strong National Museum of Play, an engaging attraction filled with nostalgic toys, classic games, and immersive exhibits that invite visitors of all ages to interact, reminisce, and have fun.

For a relaxing experience, embark on a scenic canal boat tour aboard the Sam Patch, gliding gently along the historic Erie Canal. During your ride, learn about the canal's rich heritage and its transformative impact on New York State.

Day 8 - Rochester to Buffalo

Today, set off on a leisurely drive from Rochester to Buffalo, a vibrant city full of culture, history, and artistic treasures. Upon arriving in Buffalo, immerse yourself in some of the city's standout attractions, including the renowned Buffalo AKG Art Museum, one of the oldest museums in the United States devoted exclusively to contemporary and modern art.

Begin your exploration at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House, an architectural masterpiece meticulously restored to reflect its original appearance, providing a glimpse into Wright's innovative designs from the early 20th century.

Next, head to Canalside, Buffalo's vibrant waterfront district, bustling with activities and attractions. Discover the fascinating history of the Erie Canal at the Waterway of Exchange, pay tribute at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park, and enjoy a relaxing boat tour on the scenic waters of Lake Erie.

Day 10 - Buffalo to Niagara Falls

Today, enjoy a short drive to Niagara Falls, one of the world's most breathtaking natural wonders. After checking into your hotel, spend some time exploring Niagara Falls State Park, America's oldest state park. Be sure to visit the Niagara Falls State Park Education Centre, where you'll discover fascinating insights into the rich history of Niagara Falls and the influential Niagara Falls Movement.

In the evening, experience the spectacular Illumination Show, as vibrant colours illuminate the cascading falls against the night sky. The start time varies throughout the year, beginning at sunset and continuing until 2:00 AM.

Day 11 - Niagara Falls

Today we have included a variety of attractions at Niagara Falls. This small group tour will take you to the highlights of Niagara Falls from the USA side of the falls.

Maid of the Mist

The Maid of the Mist Boat Ride offers a thrilling adventure into the heart of Niagara Falls. This iconic boat tour takes you up close to the majestic Horseshoe Falls, where you'll feel the power of millions of gallons of water cascading down around you. Cave of the Winds

The Cave of the Winds tour offers an exhilarating and immersive experience at Niagara Falls, bringing you as close as possible to the mighty waters of the falls. This adventure begins with an elevator ride down to the base of the Niagara Gorge. As you walk along a series of wooden walkways, you'll be led to the awe-inspiring Hurricane Deck, situated just a few feet away from the crashing waters of the Bridal Veil Falls. Day 12 - Return Flight

Today drive to Buffalo Airport returning your car hire before your onward flight home.
