Enjoy the freedom to explore the North Island, stopping when and where you want. The following itinerary has been put together as a guide to one of the many possibilities. Please call one of our consultants to help tailor make your motorhome adventure.

 

Best of the North By Motorhome includes:

Day 1 - Depart Auckland

Collect your chosen Motorhome or Campervan  and head to The Coromandel, renowned for its natural beauty, green pastures, misty rainforests and pristine golden beaches.

Day 2 - The Coromandel

Spend a full day exploring this beautiful region, perhaps visit the Karangahake Gorge, Hot Water beach, or Cathedral Cove

Day 3 - Rotorua

Journey onwards to Rotorua. Famed for its geo thermal activity and Maori culture

Day 4 - Taupo

Take the short drive to Taupo, New Zealands biggest lake, her you can experince more geo thermal areas, ancient forest's, trout filled rivers and the thundering Huka Falls

Day 5 - Tongariro National park

Next stop is Tongariro National Park. Centred upon three volcanoes, Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu, Tongariro National Park is home to some of New Zealand’s most dramatic landscapes.

Day 6 - Tongariro National Park

Enjoy a full day exploring this stunning region. Perhaps hike a section of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, or take in one of the shorter, but equally rewarding waterfall trails.

Day 7 - Hamilton

Turn North and start your return to Auckland. Overnight near Hamilton and perhaps visit the nearby attractions of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, or the Hobbiton film set at Matamata

Day 8 - Return to Auckland

Continue onwards to Auckland where your adventure concludes
