Casa Andina Premium Puno sits right on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, perched at over 3,800 metres above sea level. Stone, wood, and clay tiles give the building a rustic, altiplano character, while fireplaces warm the lobby and restaurant against the cool evening air. Most of the 45 rooms open onto private balconies framing the water, and a long private pier stretches out over the lake itself, ready for early morning departures to the islands.

Days here begin with the lake stretching out flat and silver toward the horizon, and end with nightly bonfires on the terrace, a pisco sour in hand as the sky darkens over the altiplano. Alma Restaurant & Bar serves Peruvian dishes behind floor to ceiling glass, the garden and lake framed like a living painting. From the pier, boats set off for the floating islands of Uros and the quiet stone terraces of Taquile, while a private train station links the hotel directly to the mountains beyond.
