In the Colca Valley, three hours from Arequipa and perched at 3,250 metres above sea level, Colca Lodge sits on the banks of the Colca River, surrounded by pre Inca terraces recognised as national cultural heritage. Built from mud, stone, and straw in a style drawn from the ancient Collagua people, the lodge blends into its surroundings so completely that rooms, gardens, and farmland run together without walls or fences between them. Nature sits close here, softened only by the comforts needed for genuine rest.

The valley's real treasure lies in thermal pools rich in lithium, warmed naturally and set against mountain views, an experience unlike anything else in the region. Geothermal energy heats the rooms and much of the water besides, solar power doing the rest, while treated water returns to nourish the gardens rather than the ground. Beyond the lodge, an ancient culture still keeps its traditions alive, offering guests a rare window into a history that continues well beyond these walls.
