Boise is the state capital of Idaho, pronounced Boy-see, it’s name is derived by the name originally given to the area by French trappers – les bois (the woods). These days Boise is a cosmopolitan outdoors city, with a host of attractions along the Boise River.

Boise is rather unique in that it has the largest Basque population outside of the Basque heartland of France and Spain. One of Boise’s most popular attractions is the Greenbelt, a 25 mile cycle path and hiking trail that zig-zags the Boise River, joining various parks and outdoor spaces throughout the heart of the city.
