The Wickaninnish Inn story begins way back in 1955, and is closely tied to the modern-day history of Tofino and the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, and of course to the popular draw of Tofino winter storm watching.

The Lookout Library is set within the Wickaninnish-on-the-Beach Building and home to historic artifacts, a small business centre, and dramatic Chesterman Beach views. Try your hand at the entertaining and tormenting (you have been warned) Stave Puzzles.
 
Henry Nolla's Carving Shed borders the beach and old-growth forest, carrying on the traditional First Nations techniques used by the late master carver Henry Nolla throughout the Inn - if you see the "Open" sign, come in and see what wood carvers" George Yearsley and Christen Dokk Smith are creating!
 
Walk Chesterman Beach and admire the West Coast architecture of its homes. If you find the Inn is barely visible from the beach, consider it mission accomplished for us - a subtle exterior presence amidst the natural beauty of the beach.
 
Sample the West Coast's lush temperate rainforest right here at the Inn on our Rainforest Beach Loop Trail, a ten-minute path just steps away from your room or suite! Of course, if you want to keep up your fitness routine inside, you're invited to use our Fitness Centre in Wickaninnish-On-the-Beach.
 
Be sure to join in for the complimentary Saturday morning nature hike, a leisurely and informative trek through the rainforest to Chesterman Beach, led by a local naturalist from Long Beach Nature Tours Nomad Adventure Guides. Or, if you feel like a drive, allow our Les Clefs d'Or Concierge to assist you with a Volvo Test Drive (Canadian driver's license holders) or shuttle into town.

Anchored on jagged rocks overlooking Chesterman Beach, and set within our Wickaninnish-at-the-Pointe Building, The Pointe Restaurant provides diners with a 240-degree view of the pounding Pacific surf. The hand-adzed cedar post and beam construction of The Pointe Restaurant features soaring 20-foot ceilings and a circular wood-burning fireplace. The culinary philosophy seeks to use organic produce, free-range meats, and fresh coastal seafood, sourcing locally available goods to create seasonally inspired and imaginative dishes that satisfy the soul as well as the palate.
