Fox Hotel & Suites sits on Banff Avenue in Banff's Uptown area, around a 10-minute walk from downtown Banff, or a quick ride on the hotel's free area shuttle. Mount Norquay is a short drive away, and the free shuttle also runs out to the Banff Gondola and Banff Upper Hot Springs. Lake Minnewanka is further out at around 18 minutes on foot, so a short drive is the easier option if you want to see it. Calgary International Airport is around a 90-minute drive.

We often suggest Fox Hotel & Suites for families and groups who want extra space without paying for a full resort stay. The mezzanine-style suites with kitchenettes are ideal for longer visits, and the cave-style hot pool is a genuine highlight after a day in Banff National Park. It sits a touch further from the main strip than some of the other Banff Avenue hotels, but the free shuttle makes that an easy trade-off.
