Choose from our Half Day Ride, Full Day Ride, Thunder Mountain Ride, and 1 1/2 Hour Ride. An experienced wrangler from Ruby's Inn guides all horseback trail rides. Cowboy stories and history of Butch Cassidy helps make a great horseback vacation.
Half Day Ride (Ruby's Favorite)
Length: 3 hour ride (approximately)
Recommended Riding Experience: First time riders through expert.
A ride through the beautiful red rocks of Losee Canyon in Red Canyon. Enjoy the shade of mountain trails, experience the dark red colored “HooDoo” up close. See the same country as Butch Cassidy did as a young outlaw, over 100 years ago and pass an old outlaw hideout. This ride is approximately 6 miles. Rides leave daily at 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Children must be at least 7 years old.
This ride is seasonal.
A minimum of 2-riders must book this ride per trip, ride may be cancelled.
Beginner to experienced riders
220lb weight limit. (Over 6? Tall, up to 260lb.)
Closed Sunday during April and October.

If you’re looking for a scenic tour of the Bryce Canyon area, our 1 ½ hour ride takes in the Dixie National Forest and the rim of Water Canyon Amphitheater, the first canyon in Bryce Canyon National Park. Leaving the rim, you climb Bristlecone Pine Ridge with standing 1500 year old Bristlecone Pines. (One of the oldest living things on the North American Continent.) From this ridge you will also see Boat Mesa and Sinking Ship Peak, some of the higher points in Fairyland Amphitheater. This is a 4 ½ mile loop.
If you are short on time and want to make great western memories, this is the ride for you. Rides leave daily at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Age 7 years and older.
